Elementary Greek Grammar
The CD Rom teaches much more grammar and more complex sentence structure.

The first bit of Greek grammar to learn is that all nouns, or things, whether living or non-living, are either masculine, feminine, or neuter. For this grammar exercise, all nouns are FEMININE. On the actual CD Rom course, we teach you how to remember the gender of each noun.

1. If the noun is feminine, then the word for THE is EE.

So, EE PAPYA is THE DUCK Try to remember the little girl saying "HEE HEE".

2. The Greek word for IS is EENAH.
For example, EE PAPYA EENAH is THE DUCK IS.

3. Adjectives like KOKEENOH(red), EESEEHOH(quiet), and MIKROH (small) change their endings according to the gender of the noun that they go with. For example:

THE DUCK IS SMALL is EE PAPYA EENAH MIKREE
(the letters 'OH' in MIKROH change to the letters 'EE' to reflect the feminine noun).

You are now ready to begin constructing simple sentences with the words that you have learned!
